James R. Dugué, O.D.
Dr. Dugué performed his undergraduate studies at UCLA and received his doctorate degree from UC Berkeley in 1982. In 2003, he went back to school to be certified to diagnose and treat glaucoma. Dr. Dugue makes continuing education a priority in order to stay at the forefront of quality family eye care.
Dr. Dugué has been in private practice for over 30 years. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to provide vision screenings for the Lyon's Club, Indian Reservations and Mission Lutheran Preschool. He also offers consultations and pre/post-operative care for laser refractive surgery, as well as cataract and other eye surgeries. Additionally, Dr. Dugué participates in multiple clinical contact lens and solution research studies every year. This allows him to be among the first to offer the latest and greatest in contact lens technology to his patients. He also serves as an adjunct clinical professor for fourth year optometry students from Western University of Health Sciences to educate the profession's future.
Dr. Dugué lives in Mission Viejo with his lovely wife, Susan. He enjoys outdoor sports, especially fly surfing, mountain biking, and unicycling.

Kathy T. Hoang, O.D.
Dr. Hoang was born in Vietnam. She comes from a family of six who migrated to the United States after the war. Grateful for the opportunity of coming to the United States, since a young age was determined to further her education to help her family from a tragic event in history.
Dr. Hoang received her Bachelor’s degree at California State University of Long Beach and graduated with a Bachelors in Science- Biology. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She has additional clinical training in primary eyecare, specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses, orthokeratology and myopia control, neuro-optometric rehabilitation (vision therapy), and ocular disease. At John Wesley Community Health (JWCH) Institute in Los Angeles, she gained a tremendous amount of experience in treating and managing diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and corneal pathologies.
Dr. Hoang’s mission is to connect, communicate, and work collaboratively with each of her patients to offer the highest quality and personalized eye care possible. She finds joy and satisfaction in serving the visual needs of the community and is proficient in the newest procedures to bring state-of-the-art care to her patients. Dr. Hoang speaks English and Vietnamese.
In her free time, Dr. Hoang enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, cooking, and hiking.
