These services include, but are not limited to:
  • Glasses and contact lens examination
  • Ocular health examination for diabetes, Plaquenil, glaucoma, and more
  • Emergency examination such as redness, swelling, pain, flashes and floaters, and more
Limited basis means we are taking necessary precautions to keep our patients and staff safe. These precautions include, but are not limited to:
  • 1 hour between appointments to prevent crowding
  • Disinfecting all equipment, surfaces, and eyeglass frames before and after every patient
  • No more than two patients in reception
  • Removal of magazines in reception
  • Barriers at the front desk and equipment that requires the doctor to be in close proximity
  • Doctor, staff, and patients to wear facial masks and gloves when appropriate
We have multiple exam rooms which allow us to have adequate cleaning time between each patient and limit wait times. We respectfully request that patient companions, if possible, wait in their car or the building's lobby if our reception becomes crowded. If you are experiencing cough, fever, chills, and/or fatigue, please reschedule until you are feeling well.

Our phone line will remain open for patients with an emergency, which includes:
  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Vision loss
  • Pain
  • Light sensitivity
  • Flashes and floaters
  • and more
A need for an in-person examination will be evaluated on a case by case basis. We will also be able to assist with contact lens orders over the phone.
Since Governor Newsom did not provide an end date to the statewide order, it is difficult to determine our schedule for the next coming weeks. Some of the precautions we observe on a normal basis, such as washing our hands, sanitizing work areas, and disinfecting our equipment. We are also now disinfecting every pair of frames so that it is sterile before a patient puts them on.
As a healthcare operation, we are open to patients during this difficult time so that we may meet their visual needs. However, we advise patients who are exhibiting symptoms (such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath) to reschedule until they are feeling well. We advise those who have recently traveled to affected areas or countries to do the same. If you are over 70 years old, immuno-compromised, or have underlying conditions, please reschedule as well.

At the seminar, he learned about new ongoing contact lens studies and was able to tour the robotics facility that manufactures contact lenses. In fact, he and Dr. Chi are currently investigating visual performance with J&J's Acuvue Transition lenses.
In addition, Dr. Chi attended a 5-hour seminar over the weekend and had the opportunity to learn about new advancements in LASIK and cataract surgery. The Foundation for Ophthalmic Medical Education organized more than five speakers to educate a large group of optometrists.]]>
